What a wonderful city. Full of amazing people, history and feels very much like a second home.

The students spent two days at our sister school, Tomio Daisan Elementary and Junior High School. They were given the opportunity to be immersed in the Japanese school system, which is vastly different from our own.

Students attended a variety of classes, Mathematics, Social Studies, English Conversations, Music, Calligraphy classes…the list goes on.

They moved around with their homeroom classes for each lesson, which is a very similar model to Harrison School. What wasn’t similar was the length of the day 🙂 School began at 8:30 and finished at around 4:00…and then began the afternoon club activities. Things like basketball, soccer, arts and crafts, band and computer club.
