WHAT  Please use this link to view a clip about the EOL process. Our EOL evening is a time set aside for your child to exhibit their learning to you. They will explain where they are, how they got there and what they need to do next. The exhibition is student led and teachers will prepare students for the exhibition, as well as be available for support during the evening as needed. All students from 5-10 will go through the process of exhibiting their learning and reflecting on that process. The Exhibition of Learning evening is an opportunity for this to occur at school during a celebration of learning, but it can be done from home as well. If the exhibition of learning and reflection is done from home, please make sure it is completed during Week 9 (19-23 June) as there will be an opportunity for students who have not done so to so to share their learning and reflect on their work with a member of our school community in Week 10. The link to the goggle reflection form can be found below and will open on 19 June.

WHY  We do not learn from experience … we learn from reflecting on experience. – John Dewey. The assessment and reporting process is an important part of your child’s education and includes more than just the paper report that comes home at the end of the Semester. Students at Harrison are assessed continuously in many different ways and this information is shared in a variety of formats. Our Exhibition of Learning evening provides students with the opportunity to share their digital portfolio, which holds their personal reflections on their learning, with teachers, parents and carers at school with support and guidance. We believe this to be an extremely important and valuable part of the teaching and learning process.
