Message for Harrison School community

Tuesday 4 September 2018

Dear parents and carers,
Work continued towards identifying the source of the material found in the school’s garden beds.

With the reduction of school space caused by the temporary fencing of all garden beds, we are using nearby ovals as play space. The Education Directorate has contacted Transport Canberra and City Services about ensuring a minimum of two ovals remain accessible to the school while works continue at the school.

Also, minor adjustments to the fences have been made to improve fire egress routes at the school, as recommended by a fire consultant. ACT Fire & Rescue have attended the school to modify their response plans.

I would like to thank everyone in the school community for being so mindful while driving to and from the school. Traffic has been flowing well with assistance from traffic management staff at peak times.

And I just wanted to remind you that Education Support Office staff and myself are available at morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times to answer any questions.

Regards,

Jason
